The Doctors at East Ryde Family Medical Practice share the common goal of providing the highest quality medical care to all of our patients.

Each doctor is committed to continuing professional development through ongoing medical education, and is vocationally registered with the Royal Australian College of General Practice.

Dr Greg Spark
Principal GP

(MB BS (USYD), Family Medical Certificate)

Dr Spark established East Ryde Family Medical Practice in 1988 & is the practice owner & director. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 1980, he was a resident doctor at Concord Hospital until a move to Northern NSW, where he worked at Lismore Base Hospital, here he gained a broad clinical experience. 

In 1983, he began his General Practice Training, back in Sydney at various locations. After traveling for a year he resumed hospital work in the United Kingdom, where he trained in obstetrics & gynaecology at a hospital in Sunderland. In 1984, Dr Spark returned to Australia & was Evans Head country GP until 1987. In 1988, Dr Greg Spark settled in East Ryde, succeeding Dr Mark Goyen as the local GP. (Previous to Dr Goyen, was Dr Stuart Fox). He has remained in the area since treating generations of local families. Over the years he has gradually expanded the practice to meet the local growth of the area. He enjoys all aspects of general practice & family medicine with a particular interest in preventive health, chronic disease management & health education. Greg supervises Medical Students for Local and Regional University’s for the next generation of GPs. Greg enjoys a busy life with his wife, Dr Fiona Dennison. He has three children, plus one step daughter. He loves a good golf game and energetic weekend Squash session, music and travel. Dr Ingrid Schwarzer
General Practitioner

(MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma of Paed, Family Planning Certificate)

Dr Schwarzer is a graduate of the University of Sydney. She has special interests in Preventative Medicine, Paediatrics and Women’s Health. Ingrid joined East Ryde Family Medical Practice 1992. She sees patients on Mondays and Thursdays. Outside of work, Ingrid enjoys spending time with the family, travelling and keeping fit.

Dr Peter Barclay
General Practitioner

(MB BS (USYD) FRACGP)

Dr Peter Barclay grew up in Sydney’s North Shore, sitting his HSC at Barker College in Hornsby. His undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Nursing at Sydney University, after which he proceeded to postgraduate medicine, graduating in 2000. 

 

Dr Barclay practiced as a Junior doctor at Gosford & Wyong Hospital, with secondments to Taree Base Hospital, and subsequently at Royal North Shore Hospital with secondments to Manly and Ryde Hospitals. Peter and his wife took a break from their medical training in 2002. During this time, they spent 3 months as volunteer doctors in a small rural hospital call Rumginae, in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea, and they found this to be a very worthwhile experience. Following this, Peter spent 3 years on the training program of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners. During this time he worked in various general practices in the Sutherland Shire, and rural general practice in Dubbo. He passed the RACGP exam in 2006, and qualified for Fellowship of the RACGP in 2007. He thoroughly enjoys all aspects of general practice, in particular interests include musculoskeletal conditions, paediatrics, obstetrics & gynaecology, removal of skin lesions and geriatric medicine. Peter & his wife have 3 children, as a family they regularly attend an Anglican Church, and their favourite pastimes are going to the beach and bushwalking. Dr Donna Lau
General Practitioner

(MB BS (USYD) BSc (Hons) FRACGP, Dip of Child Health)

Dr Donna Lau graduated from the University of Sydney twice, first in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science with Honors, then in 2009 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.

She completed her internship and residency at Gosford & Wyong hospitals where she also completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2012. Donna finished her GP training in Sydney and attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014. Dr Lau works at East Ryde Family Medical Practice on Tuesdays & Fridays and enjoys seeing patients of all age groups and managing all facets of general practice medicine. Dr Lau has a specialist interest in women’s health, family planning + sexual health, pediatrics and mental health. Her interests outside of work are most things to do with the great outdoors – rock climbing, hiking, camping and scuba diving. Dr Elizabeth (Lily) Foster
General Practitioner

MBBS, BSc, FRACGP, Diploma in Child Health

Dr. Lily Foster graduated from medical school at the University of Notre Dame and has been working as a doctor since 2012. She really enjoys the diversity of general practise and has particular interest in dermatology, paediatrics, preventative health, and women's health.

She had a background for several years in intensive care medicine, including paediatric intensive care, prior to changing her focus to general practise. She completed her Diploma of child health and has attained her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is also accredited for insertion of IUD's for contraception, and has completed a skin cancer medicine certificate. She loves getting to know her community and hopes to help people in her work as a doctor. As well as all this, she is a mum and enjoys running!

Dr Nicole Chater
General Pracitioner

(MB BS (Hons) (UND) BSc (Psych) FRACGP, Diploma of Child Health)

Dr Nicole graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 2011 with Honours and was awarded with Distinction in her research project, which was published in the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2012.

Dr Chater then went on to complete her internship and residency years at Concord Hospital. Her rotations included plastic/burns surgery, general surgery, gynaecology, breast surgery, geriatric medicine, emergency medicine, haematology, general medicine, paediatrics and general practice. Following this, Dr Chater completed her General Practice training in Canberra as well as South Sydney. She also completed the Diploma of Child Health in 2014. In 2015, Dr Chater was successful in her FRACGP examination. Dr Chater works at East Ryde Family Medical Practice on Monday & Wednesdays. She sees patients from all age groups. Dr Chater has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and mental health and loves the variation in general practice as well as the continuity of care. Dr Chater is trained in the insertion and removal of IUD devices and conducts this procedure at East Ryde Family Medical Practice with the assistance of our Practice Nurse. Away from work, Dr Chater enjoys going for long walks around the beautiful coast of Sydney with her husband, son and dog and spending time with her large extended family. Dr Sanjev Krishnamohan
General Practitioner

FRACGP, MBBS (Hon 1), Derm. Cert, BE (Hon)

Dr Sanjev Krishnamohan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Sydney in 2012 and was trained at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Followed by his work at Concord and Canterbury Hospitals.

Afterwards, he pursued specialisation in Family Medicine and General Practice and obtained his fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Dr Krishnamohan is an experienced doctor who takes a keen interest in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Mental Health, Paediatrics, Diabetes, Cardiovascular and Respiratory Medicine. He is also passionate about  Dermatology as well as Skin Cancer Checks. He has not only gained hospital experience but has also worked for several years in private practice, home and nursing home visits. Sanjev also takes a special interest in medical teaching and provided his services at the Sydney University Medical School. He is a researcher as well and his research has been published in both medical conferences and peer-reviewed journals. Apart from practising, Dr Krishnamohan enjoys spending quality time with his young family and loves to do everything outdoors like playing tennis and going for a jog. Dr Sanjev Krishnamohan is bilingual and fluent in English as well as Tamil.
